This will be the second time purchasing this keychain! We had to hunt this down as the first time we found you on Etsy. Can you believe 3 amazing women at my work have donated kidney’s?? The first was a long time ago so I wasn’t able to make this lovely purchase. By far the most beautiful anatomical kidney out there!

    • HI Margaret, Sorry for the reply delay. The website didn’t send me a message that there was a comment. The Designer and maker of the 3D anatomical organs has been on a long leave of absence. I had a large order for liver pieces and I had to be clever in trying to find him since he does make the best ones on the web. He did fill my order and the buyer was willing to wait. I think the artist was burned out from working too much but I’m not sure if he will be back anytime soon so if anyone else at your work is inspired to donate a kidney altruistically, they could be responsible for starting a kidney transplant chain and that is also a very amazing and heroic gesture. Since not everyone has a family match, but that possible donor can match a different recipient and they then have someone else donate to someone else. It’s an amazing chain of events, very precise science and medicine and thrilling when up to 26 people go into surgery at the same time. It must all take place because if one person changes their mind at the last minute, the chain breaks and recipients cannot get their kidney at that time. It’s all very exciting when it works, but sad when their anticipation and hope gets dashed.

Since I’ve been having trouble getting these great 3D keyrings, I may not be able to carry them any longer. I’ve bought a lot of them from the artist directly. He’s a very nice fellow and loves that I was selling them for such a dear cause. Anyway, Feel free to check my website in the future if more are needed, but I’m going to give you his name and contact info so next time, if there are more Heroes at work, you can write his name down and keep it someplace that you’ll find it! His name is Chris Taylor and he has an Etsy shop,Tcustom, a website and a few small distributors, like me. He was nice to do the big order for me while on vacation, and he made a few extra kidneys too. You have one of those on its way to you now.

You probably ordered them directly from him on Etsy because I never sold them there since he was selling there. Etsy’s rule for artisans is that they must either design or make what they sell. I design and make some of my kidney pieces but have the sterling silver designs produced in Bali where they are known world wide for silversmithing excellence. I’ve working with the owner for about 8 years.

I just reopened my etsy shop last week after taking a 20 month long medical leave.
I was on dialysis for 10 years, then had a Heroic Donor/Cousin who gave me a kidney in 2002. Sadly, a cancer than was stable/in remission for over 40 years, morphed into a more assertive strain and I had to begin chemo and immunotherapies after 21 years with my healthy transplant. The treatment was too toxic for my kidney so I had to soon start dialysis again. It took me a long time to feel ready to get back to my sites online.I had a lot of trouble with focus and concentration, but I’m feeling better now. I may not get back to my old self but I’m adjusting. I’m taking it slowly and enjoy working again and being in touch with great customers new and former. Cheers to all the kidney Donors and best wishes that they, and their recipients, will have easy surgeries and recoveries. Thank you for searching for me and finding me!

Best wishes to you and yours for good health,
      Myra from transplantgifts.com
