This 7.5″ bracelet is OOAK (One-of-a-Kind)! The bracelet base is a substantial, vintage, sterling heart link bracelet marked 925 on the toggle closure. This base is an estate find and one of the best quality sterling heart bracelets I’ve found. I am always searching for high quality vintage components from the past at antique markets and estate sales to use in all 3 lines of my jewelry. It’s difficult to find this quality in newly manufactured pieces.

This year I’ve created a series of Valentine or kidney anniversary gifts with hearts. Pieces in the series called “Gifts of Life…and Love” will make wonderful gifts for a Valentine’s Day, a kidney anniversary or birthday gift for a new living donor or recipient. The National Kidney Foundation used to have a February campaign called “Love Your Kidneys.” The campaign was aimed at both the general population as well as early kidney patients in an effort to help educate the public about the importance of taking care of kidney health. I don’t think they are still using that campaign, but I appreciate the words and this bracelet will tell the world that you love your kidney, or kidneys, as the case may be. Bracelet weighs almost an ounce, or a little over 25 grams, which is a nice, heavy weight for jewelry. I’ve added one of my own sterling kidneys to the center, 6 teeny tiny sterling kidneys and two sizes of red Czech glass hearts. The front side has heart links that are a bit rounded and on the backside, they are flat.
