Floating Glass/Metal Heart Pendant with Golden Kidney Inside-Transplant Gift

This listing used to have a double sided case, one smooth and the other with a pattern. The maker of those reversible heart cases discontinued them after my last order. I’m as disappointed as you are as they had been very popular! In the meantime, I located the same size/shaped heart, but both sides are smooth metal, no pattern design on one side. The golden kidney inside is a nice contrast to the silvery seed beads, but if you would like colored seed beads inside, I can easily make one with a variety of colors and use the same little kidney inside. You can choose either a silver plated pewter kidney instead or gold plated, as shown. Just let me know what you would like in a message when you order, or contact me with your thoughts.

I make kidney transplant gifts, although these new heart/kidney pieces can easily be used for any anniversary, birthday or special day to remember. If you are not looking specifically for my Golden Kidney Series, I can often put a different charm inside to float on top of the glass seed beads. The “bean” though is an ancient symbol of bounty, growth and new beginnings, which gives these pendants a wonderful symbol of life within the heart, perfect for transplants. These are a new variation for my floating pendant/lockets. They’ve been popular gifts in my website shops . I often sell my glass/metal pendants in twos, one for the recipient and one for the donor. They are made in the USA, plated over pewter castings. They also are drilled beads in case you’d rather wear it and string it onto something else. 

Dimensions measure 1.25″ x 1.25.”  They hinge open and come with aa assorted chain. I buy chains in lots, so it’s difficult to keep the same ones in stock. You may receive the stainless steel chain pictured, but it may be a different stainless one. I buy them in lots so can’t always guarantee the same chain.

This floating kidney-under-glass pendant provides a simple, golden kidney inside which is meant to always be a reminder of what’s ahead if you have the opportunity to grab life and chase your dreams. I definitely did that and although I’m back on dialysis after 21 years with that precious kidney, due to toxic chemotherapy, I am still dedicated to thanking my donor for those 21 years which transformed me. It transformed both of us in ways we couldn’t have imagined.

 I don’t recommend opening the cases because static electricity can make the tiny glass beads fly and scatter. Most people do end up opening them to see inside, but if you do, Lay a sheet of paper beneath the closed heart case and  Carefully open the case, then hopefully can place the beads back inside the case and consider using a few drops of  glue made for metals on the inner rim but NOT over the magnets. Instructions are included for the curious.
