These are part of a new series of “Golden Kidney” jewelry. The hearts have sold out in this size, but I have another listing with a slightly larger heart with straight sides.

Here is what I have currently:
30mm round pewter colored ones. 18″stainless chain.
I also have one left in silver with with crystals around the border. 18″ stainless chain.
Be sure to include a message as to which of these styles you prefer!

Other items in the series, in other listings, include sterling prayer boxes with Golden Kidneys hidden inside, Tree of Life cases with golden kidneys and glass hearts inside. These are sweet, simple pendants, 30mm for the rounds. They all have metal cases with glass windows on both sides. Each comes on an 18″ chain of stainless steel. These lockets are similar to a watch case which is hinged to open but stays closed with strong magnets. They are sometimes called floating pendants because of the floating appearance of what’s put inside. They can also be viewed as memory lockets/pendants.

I see them all as gentle reminders of the significance of the Gift of Life, whether it is given or received. In this case, the star attraction is the Golden Kidney bead symbolizing how truly Golden a kidney transplant is. For recipients, it represents the Golden opportunity of a new and healthy life. For living donors, or as a touching gift to family members of donors, it represents the meaningful gift of a kidney donated to someone in need, a truly life altering gift and a reminder of the beautiful deed of donating a kidney. The kidney inside is made of gold plated pewter and rests on a bed of tiny glass seed beads in a silvery or clear color that varies slightly from piece to piece. Everything moves freely like a little kidney floating on the sea.

Please NOTE: Take care if you have a pacemaker since there are magnets around the inside rim of the pendants. Also, if you have curious small children around, be sure to keep these pendants safely out of their reach due to the small parts inside.

It is my mission to provide meaningful gifts of gratitude to represent the significance of kidney transplants. There is really no gift that can adequately thank someone for the Gift of Life. They are given from the heart of selfless people, purely to help another person live a better life. I’ve been a kidney recipient since 2002 and was fortunate to have a wonderful and Heroic living donor who gave my life back to me after a decade of dialysis. The items I design and create come from my own transplant experience and from my heart. They are inspired by my Donor and all the donor Heroes out there,  It is my hope that they will be meaningful gifts of gratitude, symbolize the experience of donation and be worn in the best of health.

I have lots of other items in my shop here as well as in my Etsy shop. Please see them there at  kidneyjewelry.etsy.com.  Please take a look! No international sales on Etsy, but you can order here on the website. If you see something on Etsy that is not listed here, just message me and if it is in stock, I will send you a customized invoice from Paypal.

HI! I prefer silver or pewter, the crystal pendant would be nice, too.
Love the Jewelry. thank you, Myra! Congratulations on another year!!

    • Hi Janette! Thanks so much for your purchases! I have your order ready to ship tomorrow, 8/2. Hope you, Matt and your kids are doing well and staying safe during this pandemic. It is probably that I don’t have any antibodies, so I’m being especially careful. It’s a good thing I work from home! This is the busiest sale I’ve had in a long time, so that is great. I really appreciate your returning business! Are these the 2nd or 3rd pr of purple earrings I’ve made for you? This dye lot may be a darker violet than the last time..or it might be the same, I can’t recall. I put both pieces in the same box, hope that’s ok. I am thinking these are both for yourself, but could be wrong. I didn’t have the shiny silver color floating pendant, but had the darker silver (Pewter color) with a dark chain. I always liked this one best. It has both a modern and vintage look at the same time. If you don’t love the color, I’ll be happy to exchange it for a different one or a refund, whatever you prefer.

Back to work and over to visit my mom at Alden rehab facility. Mom turned 96 in May and has been prone to falling and breaking bones each time. I think we were in the ER 4 times last year and 3 times already this year, or is it 4 again? I’ve lost track. The house, with stairs is just not safe for her. She fell backwards down a full flight to the lower level, which is unpadded flat carpeting over concrete. She broke 5 ribs. A few weeks earlier, she broke her hand and fractured small bones in her spine. She remains high spirited. I think part of her is enjoying a vacation from me, the nagger. “USE your walker!” I’ve become background noise for her, I’m sure. She’ll be at Alden for a few weeks and at least it’s less than 5 minutes away, so I try to get over there almost daily. She is getting great PT and OT but backslid in the short 8 days she was back home from her last 5 week stay. How she didn’t split her head open is beyond me, no brain bleed, but her really hit her head hard this time. That’s the Schwartz family organ report for today.

Stay well, hope you, Matt and the kids are doing ok and staying safe.

Hugs from nearby! I’ll look forward to a lunch with you in the future, but not anytime soon. It just doesn’t feel safe enough yet and there are too many maskless people out there. Home health sent an uncaccinated worker here for my mom. I wouldn’t let her in the house. They couldn’t find another one either in their system. Really? A health care agency with no mandate and send people from one patient house to another all day long. No thank you. Big OY!

      Love and many thanks,
      Myra
