Golden Kidney and Petite Sterling Heart Pendant-Kidney Transplant/Valentine Gift-Donor or Recipient

These pendants are additions to my Golden Kidney Series. They come in two styles, round or rectangle. They have a sterling silver round charm with heart shaped opening and a golden kidney drop made of gold plated pewter. The round one hangs 1-1/8″ long and the rectangle hangs 1-1/4.” They are both stamped 925 on the backside. Chain length is standard 18″  but if you prefer 16,” just include a message with your order. The pendants are petite.

Give as a gift to either or both donor and recipient. I do NOT offer engraving services, but you could have your local jeweler add a tiny date around the perimeter on the backside. 

As a kidney patient since 1978 and a transplant recipient since 2002, the jewelry I create has personal meaning for me and I thought these would also have meaning for anyone looking for gifts of gratitude for living donors, recipients, medical staff or family supporters. It is my mission to create meaningful gifts to celebrate the transplant experience and the people that make them possible.

Receiving a kidney is truly a golden experience and one that is difficult to say simply “thanks.” There is really no gift that can adequately thank someone for the Gift of Life, but I make pieces that symbolize the meaning, gratitude and a token of what a transplant means. The gift is entwined with so much heart that it seemed a perfect symbol to combine hearts and kidneys in individual pieces. I hope you enjoy viewing the collection and will find something that rings true for your own experience as much as they do for my own.

My living donor gave her kidney to me out of love and the innate need to help me find my health again after 10 years of dialysis. She brought many golden opportunities into my life, a few being feeling healthy, being able to travel, being able to eat normally and the feeling of being energized again. It is my wish that the collection of pieces in this series will be given in love for what love has brought to you in the form of a transplant. I hope you will wear this or gift it to a special person with wishes to experience many golden moments in life and especially to enjoy those moments in good health.
