Transplant Gift-Sterling Kidney Pendant with Sponge Coral on Sterling Chain- Donors or Recipients

Here is a new variation for this design. The kidney shaped pendant is sterling silver wit hand cut Sponge Coral
(non endangered) that comes from the South Pacific. This piece makes a great gift for a living kidney donor or recipient and would be ideal for a holiday or Valentines Day gift since it is red. This piece is made to my specifications, exclusively for my shop and website, by a silversmith studio that I work with in Bali. They produce my sterling pieces to exacting standards and do a phenomenal job, making it possible for me to present all sorts of new kidney shaped pieces.

The pendant’s back side has enough flat space for your local jeweler to engrave a date or possibly the word “Hero.” Comes on your choice of 16″ or 18″ sterling silver chain. Sorry, I do NOT offer engraving services.

In case you were wondering….I am a kidney recipient and received the Gift of Life in 2002 from a living donor (My Hero!) I had been on dialysis for 10 years before my transplant. I wasn’t able to find gifts that were meaningful pieces to commemorate this huge life event. I now create gifts of gratitude for recipients to give to their living donors, medical staff and supporters, but surprisingly, many donors also make purchases to give to their recipients. They don’t think of themselves as Heroes and giving is in their nature, even though they are already giving life’s greatest gift to another person to save them from life on dialysis. I’m always finding new ways to say thank you and give meaning to their courage.

For international orders going ouside of the US, please note that your country may hold an item in customs for a customs tax. This does not happen to every order that ships, so I don’t know whether your order will be taxed or not. These taxes are not in my control. They are levied by your customs department. You may want to check with them to see if you can find out ahead of time what the tax might be. From what I hear, they vary quite a bit so I don’t have any idea of how it is determined.
