Sterling silver prayer/wish/box/locket pendant holds a golden kidney and red glass heart inside. These are hand made cases by skilled artisans in Thailand. The surface is brushed to achieve a smooth matte surface that feels great in the hand. The inside of the locket has been oxidized/darkened for contrast. It locks with a latch, as shown. The dimensional design is of Lotus flowers. My Golden Kidney series was created to add a meaningful symbol for the Gift of Life. I have other types of cases in this series, in other metals, notably stainless steel Tree of Life designs which carry the symbols of growth, beauty and transformation. I will be adding other new sterling silver lockets for special wishes or memory holders of different shapes, all revealing the golden kidney and red glass heart inside. This is one of my all time favorite pieces. I’m happy to have some back again.
These meaningful symbols of gratitude can be for both recipients or donors. To me, the golden kidney represents the richness of life for a new recipient and the golden opportunities that lie ahead. It also represents the golden heart of a living Donor Hero, so makes a perfect gift for either Donor or Recipient.
Size is 1.5″ tall x a bit under 1″ wide. Comes on a sterling silver chain. I’ll send 18″ but if you prefer a 16″ or 20″ let me know when you order.
